Project “Researchers’ Night” – Arad 2025

We were present at the European Researchers’ Night Arad 2025!

The Garden of Science Association attended the European Researchers’ Night event, organized by the Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad on September 26, 2025, together with children passionate about science from the town of Livada (Arad).

We brought interactive and captivating experiments with us:

ESA (Spacecraft Materials Kit) – an educational set from the European Space Agency for testing materials used in the construction of spacecraft.

• Magnetic stirrer – the force of the magnetic field and the vortices created in liquids;
• Newton’s color disc – the magic of color mixing that forms white light;
• Dynamo (manual mini-generator) – the transformation of mechanical energy into electrical energy;
• Digital microscope – exploring the hidden world around us: leaves, ice, blood cells, and the structure of fruits;
• ESA Spacecraft Materials Kit – an educational set from the European Space Agency for testing materials used in the construction of spacecraft.

Additionally, the children enjoyed fun curiosities that brought smiles and wonder:

• Electromagnetic field detection film – for phones and tablets;
• Plasma globe – observing the beauty of ionized gases;
• Balancing bird – a fun demonstration of the center of gravity;
• Magnetic theater – using magnets to move characters and tell stories;
• Pin Art board – creating 3D impressions of hands and objects;
• Gömböc – a complex mathematical object (the only known homogenous convex body with just two equilibrium points).

The children were fascinated to discover how science comes to life through play and experimentation.

We thank the organizers for this opportunity and everyone who visited our stand!
