Planting the future: the evolution of our space

The evolution of the work on the site: from degraded land to a living educational space

In recent years, our project has undergone a significant transformation. The space, which initially was a degraded piece of land, has gradually become a vibrant place dedicated to education, nature, and community. Through consistent work, volunteer involvement, and a long-term vision, we have succeeded in creating a space where children can learn directly through experience.

When we started, the area was heavily affected by uncontrolled waste dumping. The land was neglected, unsuitable for educational activities, and required major cleaning and restoration efforts.

The transformation process began with:

  • collection and removal of waste
  • soil cleaning
  • land leveling
  • preparation for planting

This stage lasted almost two years and involved sustained work from the team and volunteers.

After cleaning, we began the planting process:

  • tree planting (“the forest”)
  • fruit tree planting (“the orchard”)
  • grassland regeneration
  • expansion of green areas

Gradually, the space began to come to life, transforming into a small educational ecosystem.

To make the land functional and safe, we carried out:

  • access paths
  • organized areas for activities
  • animal shelter (goats)
  • outdoor work spaces

These arrangements allowed the organization of the first educational activities.

As the project grew, the space began to host:

  • ecological workshops for children
  • nature activities
  • STEAM summer school
  • recreational activities for children

The land became a place where children can explore, experiment, and learn directly from the surrounding environment.

Today, the project continues to develop. The space is in constant transformation, and our objective remains the creation of a sustainable educational environment accessible to children and the community.

We will continue to plant, arrange, and develop new educational projects dedicated to science, nature, and learning through experience.
